Whew! It’s a crazy season here. Having fun is hard work, but the best kind!

Well, August was a blur. I’m all but begging my son, Cowboy, to give me some paid time off as his personal assistant. Thank God he’s a cute taskmaster.

Whew! That was some winter we had last week! I have been thinking of all of you, and pray you and your families are safe and well.

I am still alive and kicking in the writing world. But you know, the best laid plans of Christmas mice and writers...

I'm back! Thank you so much for your messages, emails, and prayers. I have missed sharing adventures with you, and am happy to resume that journey.

After two weeks of finalizing paperwork, emailing in abundance, and learning my new duties as manager of attendants we employ, I am THRILLED to announce...

We've just returned from a stay at Margaritaville on Lake Conroe. What a beautiful escape, with plenty of non-stop fun for our Cowboy.

What do you get when you cross a human dirt hauler in 1000-degree weather with a pool assembly helper with a social director with a take-your-son-swimming-four-times-a-week woman with a birthday party planner with a perpetual on-line grocery shopper?

Cowboy and I have been feverishly making it through the week. Literally. He, with an ear infection. Me, probably some infection resulting from pollen infestation. I blame pollen every chance I get.

Happy Wednesday. I wrote that so you'd know what day it is, since this Twilight Zone can affect the brain in strange ways. Just the other day, I started to put the mail in the refrigerator. If I leave a jar of mayo in the mailbox, we're in real trouble.

I'm in the midst of my first Writing Boot Camp, and loving every minute of it! Okay, well, not EVERY minute. Some days it's more work than others to pull 1000 words together before my daily deadline. But it's challenging me and stretching me - which is what I needed!

After several months, our Cowboy is doing better! Thank you for your concern, continued prayers, and encouragement.

My every waking moment has been devoted to helping my Cowboy this week. It has been a rough ride with autism, but we're looking forward to calmer seas.

Well, my Cowboy turned 21 this week! It seems he was just an energetic 2-year-old who loved Elmo and never stopped moving! But, you know, he's my "baby," as well as my young man.

After 11 days of the "itis" (bronchitis, to be exact), the little engine just can't. I've been forced to rest for days.
